- Where do I find evacuation orders?
- From your county's emergency alerts and the fire agency, not from road feeds: a DOT posts the road it closed, not the zones being evacuated. On federal land, InciWeb lists the large fires and their closures.
- What is a Red Flag Warning?
- A National Weather Service warning that wind, low humidity and dry fuels will let a fire spread fast. It closes no road by itself, but it is when new fires and new closures are most likely.
- Why is a fire I know about not listed here?
- A closure is listed when the state's own feed says fire caused it. Fire crews and counties also close local roads that never reach a state feed, and some states describe a closure without its cause; check the state's road map below.
