| Event | In the month | Per day read |
|---|---|---|
| Closures and work zones | 126,480 | 6,324 |

Method
The incidents the official feeds publish, read every few minutes by Roadscore, the platform behind Live Roads USA, and kept in its archive. An event belongs to the month in which it first appeared in a feed, and its time is when it first appeared there, which can be some minutes after the crash itself.
These are not the official crash statistics (NHTSA's FARS and the state crash records, which count crashes after investigation). Many crashes never reach a live feed, and states differ: some feeds publish every crash, some only those that block a lane, some none.
Days and hours are counted on Eastern Time (America/New_York) for the whole country, so in states on another clock a crash shows in a different hour than the local one.
Roadscore’s archive has no data for October 1 to 11, so this report covers October 12 to 31, 2026. Totals count what was read; the daily, weekday and hourly averages use only the 20 full days.
